We use the hot mass explosive-based cleaning method patented by the Helbeck Group for in-process cleaning, thereby sidestepping production downtimes. Depending on the furnace geometry, the fuels used and the consistency of the clinker, a blasting gelatin is prepared and detonated in the body of the furnace at temperatures of up to 1,300 °C. The small particles of debris generated by the blast present no problem further down the line in a power plant and can be processed with the ash. In addition to this special explosives technology, our range of services includes the classic familiar blasting methods. The type of project we might be involved in, for example, is the depth compaction of mining dumps at risk of subsidence or the retreat working of large open-cast mining machines. As members of the German Federation of Explosives Engineers, our experts hold accreditation under Section 7 of the German Explosives Act and are authorised to carry out controlled explosions under Section 20 of the German Explosives Act.
Our blasting technology is used in the following applications:
- Explosives-based cleaning in coal-fired power stations and fluidised bed systems
- Explosives-based cleaning in waste incineration plants, cement rotary kilns and foundry moulds
- Controlled demolition of buildings, foundations and chimneys
- Frost wedging for preparatory cutting in open-cast mining
- Secondary blasting
- Ditch blasting in reclamation projects
- Building pit and stump blasting
- Decompaction of bulk solids in silos
- Cleaning of running gear on large open-cast mining machines
- Agricultural blasting
- Dismantling of steel structures
